- Bat Cave & Landak River Day Trip After breakfast, your guide will meet you at your guesthouse around 9:00 AM. You’ll start with a gentle walk along the Bohorok River, passing through the heart of Bukit Lawang village. Take a look at small local shops before heading out into the peaceful greenery.
- On the way to the Bat Caves, you’ll walk through rubber and palm oil plantations. Your guide will share interesting stories about local farming, wild plants, and animals you might spot along the trail
- At the Bat Caves, grab a flashlight (provided by your guide) and get ready to explore! These natural caves are made up of three large chambers filled with stalactites, stalagmites, and unique wildlife. Keep your eyes out for bats, swallows, spiders, and maybe even a snake or scorpion! Note: this part is not recommended if you’re claustrophobic.
- After your cave adventure, continue the walk for about 30 minutes to reach the serene Landak River. There, you can cool off with a refreshing swim or just relax by the water surrounded by nature.
- While you unwind, your guide will prepare a delicious riverside barbecue with grilled chicken, fish, rice, and fresh fruit. Vegetarian? No worries—we’ve got a tasty sweet potato BBQ option just for you.
- After lunch and some more chill time, your guide will walk you back to your guesthouse, arriving around 2:00 or 3:00 PM.
