No worries this trek is made just for you! In just 6 to 7 hours, you’ll hike through the stunning rainforest of Gunung Leuser National Park. Along the way, meet semi-wild orangutans and all kinds of amazing jungle animals living around them. We’ll take a break for a tasty jungle-style lunch, then continue a bit more… And to wrap it all up? Hop on a traditional tube raft and float your way back to Bukit Lawang the fun way.INFORMATION

ITINERARY
DAY 1
- Start your day with a chill breakfast, then get picked up by our local guide anytime between 8:00 AM and noon whatever time works best for you.
- We kick things off with a slow boat ride down the river, setting the mood before hiking gently uphill through rubber plantations. Soon you’ll reach the edge of Gunung Leuser National Park, where the real jungle begins.
- During the trek, your guide will share insights about the local wildlife, flora, and fauna you may encounter in the jungle. After lunch, continue trekking to spot more wildlife such as Thomas leaf monkeys, white-handed gibbons, black gibbons, long-tailed macaques, pig-tailed macaques, hornbills, peacocks, and monitor lizards. You will also learn about jungle plants and trees that can be used in traditional medicine.
- In the late afternoon, you’ll reach the Bohorok River where you can swim, relax, and enjoy the fresh water. To return to Bukit Lawang, you can either walk or take the traditional rafting boat (“jungle style”) downstream. Your guide will bring you back to your guesthouse around 2:00–3:00 pm.
