Sit back in a giant rubber tube and let the gentle current carry you through lush jungle landscapes, with splashes of thrilling whitewater to keep your heart pumping, This 3-hour ride includes peaceful stretches for soaking in the tropical surroundings and playful rapids where you’ll bounce over rocks. Along the way, we’ll pause at a tranquil riverside spot perfect for a refreshing swim and a tasty barbecue lunch, The adventure ends in Bohorok village, where a local bus will be waiting to bring you back to Bukit Lawang. Don’t miss the stunning views on the return trip!

- After enjoying your breakfast, your guide will meet you at your guesthouse between 9:00 and 10:00 am.
- From there, we’ll walk to the nearest tubing point, where your equipment will be ready. Grab your big rubber tube and get ready to float! You’ll drift along the Bohorok River for approximately 15 kilometers, surrounded by lush jungle views and vibrant greenery—an unforgettable way to immerse yourself in North Sumatra’s natural beauty.
- Along the way, you’ll get a glimpse of local daily life—villagers bathing, doing laundry, and kids laughing and playing along the riverside. This is the heart of traditional Sumatra, and you’ll be right in the middle of it!
- Around midday, we’ll take a break on the riverbank. It’s time for a delicious barbecue lunch! Cool off with a swim or stretch out under the sun while your guide grills up a tasty meal of chicken or fish, rice, and seasonal tropical fruit. Prefer vegetarian? No problem—just let us know and we’ll prepare something equally delicious!
- Once you’re recharged, hop back in your tube and continue floating down the river toward Bohorok village. At the end point, a car will be waiting to take you back to Bukit Lawang, where you’ll arrive at your guesthouse between 12:00 and 1:00 pm refreshed and smiling!
