ITINERARY

07.30 – Our driver team will pick you up at Medan Hotel, 3 hours drive. Arriving at Bukit Lawang, on the way you will see local people’s houses and oil palm trees.
Get a welcome and briefing with our professional English speaking guide about the forest.

A little adventure is about to begin! The first part is climbing into the forest, about 15 minutes walk you should arrive at the gate of Gunung Leuser National Park. The local guide will try to communicate with his assistant for the trip ahead to check the Sumatran orangutan position area. If one is seen, the guide will take you to the orangutan area and see the orangutans

Stop for a while and rest, you can enjoy some kind of fresh fruit and will also enjoy a simple Indonesian lunch, After lunch, you will continue jungle trekking, where you may see semi-wild or wild orangutans may pass above you, There is also great opportunity to see several types of monkeys such as Thomas leaf monkey, maccaca and other wildlife.
Trekking will be finished by walking back to Bukit Lawang Village, you will arrive at the Bukit Lawang Bamboo restaurant and free program according to your time.
17.00 – Our driver will take you back to Medan.

WHAT TO BRING

Small backpack with change of clothes, raincoat, swimwear, small towel, small pillow, personal items, toilet paper, medicine, camera + spare battery + memory card (in a waterproof bag), insect repellent, sunscreen,
flashlight, plastic bags (to put wet clothes in), sandals/flip-flops (to walk around the camp).
Clothing: long sleeves/trousers are optional as there are few mosquitoes. Although the nights can be cold in the forest. Wearing something comfortable is the most important.

You will be given a 1.5L bottle of water for each person, which the guides at the camp will refill with boiled water.
